Travel Support for US Attendees

The organizers of ICMMES is in the process of securring a funding to support researchers who are currently working in institutes in the United States.

To expedite the application process, we would like to encourage qualified US attendees to ICMMES-2016 to submit application for travel support now. The qualifications for travel support are:

  1. To qualified for travel support, one must be officially affiliated with a US institution currently;
  2. The person must register and pay the registration fees first before she/she is qualified for the travel suuport;
  3. Students and post-doctoral researchers should also register for the short-courses.

The funding is aimed to support junior researchers, including students, post-doctoral researchers, and junior faculty. Under-represented minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and those in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) will be given special consideration.

The application should include the following items:

  1. A covering letter stating the relevance of the applicant's work to the ICMMES focused areas, and if the application will (a) give a presentation at ICMMES-2016 and (b) contribute a paper to ICMMES-2016 proceedings after the Conference;
  2. A up-to-date CV;
  3. Students and post-doctoral researchers should request a letter of support from their advisers/mentors to be sent directly to info@icmmes.org.

The applications should be sent to info@icmmes.org with a subject "ICMMES-2016 Travel Support: Applicant's Last Name".
